Yes I have changed things here..

I was watching television last night.. about a famous Australian athelete who buried her 19 year old daughter who died from a battle with cancer.. The young woman died having only hours ago marrying a man she met and fell in love with in hospital while both undergoing cancer treatment.. He got better.. she got worse.. Her fiance and family were able to fufill her dreams even though they realised that she was going to die.. and they all used the funeral as a wedding celebration.. choosing to celebrate her life.. The young woman was buried in her wedding dress..

It is so sad to see a parent burying a child.. and as I have been seeking God on healing.. I don't want to hear more stories like that without seeking the Lord with all I have and seeing His will be done on earth.. His Will is to heal.. and how do I know that.. Because He says it in His Word..

There is nothing at all special about me.. but I see in the bible that Jesus healed when He was on the earth and used people to bring healing to others.. and God has never changed.. I see by faith that healing is ours and I want to seek that for not just myself but for as many around me as possible.. Yes I have prayed for people in the past who have died but I have also prayed for people who have got better.. Great knowledge and hard work brings forth a human physician.. But I see God is far greater then any human and He has promised to do more then all we could even think or imagine..  I see that if I seek for knowledge of what God has said, pray and dilligently seek Him allowing Him to work in me.. God can use me to help others not only know Him but be healed and helped and set free!!

I have had it on my heart to change my journal for awhile.. I don't know what will become of it.. but I do know this.. Jesus heals and wants to heal people.. And that is why I seek God for healing for myself and others.. I want to concentrate on His presence and use my journal to post things that build up our faith and knowledge of what God actually says.. and maybe testimonies and such.. Wherever the Lord leads there I will go!!

TAKING YOUR HEALING BY FAITH

For years I struggled to feel saved and felt nothing. But when I took God's forgiveness by faith, then a peaceful rest came to me and an assurance that I was truly a Christian! That was indeed the feeling I had been looking for!

Sometime later I began another struggle that lasted for over five years. I fasted, I prayed, I agonized, I tarried, I read books, I attended meetings, I was prayed over — with no results. I was seeking to experience the baptism in the Spirit just as I had sought salvation, the wrong way! I just could not believe I had it until I felt it. I thought that would be presumption. Then one day I was reading a book by Andrew Murray on how to receive the fulness of the Spirit. He made a simple statement that brought light into my darkness. He said, "Just as you received the forgiveness of sins as a gift from the hands of a dying Savior, BY FAITH, even so you can now receive the full blessing of Pentecost from the hands of a living Savior, BY FAITH!"

It was as if a light was turned on in my spirit. I said, "Now I know how to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit! I can take it by faith just as I took salvation by faith.

That very day I stopped pleading with God to fill me with His Spirit and I reached out and TOOK the blessing, BY FAITH. I said, "Thank you Jesus! I have it NOW!"

I didn't feel a thing, but BY FAITH I knew I had received it and that was good enough for me! Two or three days later I began to experience miracles in my life. I also spoke in tongues for the first time in my life. I have been speaking in tongues everyday since then. The experience of the baptism in the Holy Spirit has been growing since that day over forty five years ago. I had learned a secret; first faith then feeling! Faith comes first . . . feelings come later. Since then I have learned that you can have faith and feelings at the same time, so long as you get them in the right order!

But the hardest struggle of all has been to learn to apply the same laws of faith in the area of physical healing. How could I claim I was healed when the painful symptoms still persisted? Isn't it hypocrisy to say, "By His stripes I am healed" when nothing has changed in my physical condition?

For more than 50 years I have studied the Word of God and read the works of mighty men and women of God who have been used to bring healing to multitudes . I can say today that I have as strong a biblical ground to believe I am healed as I do to believe I am saved. And that if I can be saved by faith alone, I can be healed by simple faith alone. This faith is simply a settled KNOWING that it is the will of God to heal me.

Does God want to save everyone? Of this there is no doubt in my heart. John 3:16 says, "Whosoever believes shall have eternal life." The word "whosoever" makes the promise universal. It means EVERYBODY! There are several very specific verses of scripture that clearly show that God promises healing to EVERYBODY who believes just as He promises salvation to ALL
who believe.

"Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith shall heal the sick and the Lord shall raise him up." (Jame 5:14-15.) The word ANY means EVERYONE was invited to be healed just as "Whosoever" in John 3:16 invites ALL to believe on Jesus and be saved.

"He. healed ALL. . ." that it might be fulfilled, "Himself took our infirmities." The word "our" refers to "all" in the previous verse. He heals all who believe today because He bore OUR (everyone's) sicknesses. (See Isa. 53:4-5) In Numbers 21:8 everyone who looked upon the brazen serpent was healed of snakebite. The brazen serpent was a type of the atonement both for sin and sickness .

In Mark 16 the Gospel is for everyone and that gospel included laying hands on the sick for their recovery.

If you are suffering under the power of some sickness, here is the good news for you . . . now! Jesus has suffered your sicknesses and has carried your diseases away! Will you receive him now as your Healer, BY FAITH? Take your healing by faith by putting your name in any one of the above verses that tell us our sins are forgiven and our sicknesses have been healed. Your healing will surely come to you as you hold steady in your confession of faith till you see the mountain cast into the sea. God gives by promise what we must take by faith.

THERE'S A MIRACLE IN YOUR MOUTH
The following is an affirmation of faith based on the promises of God. Repeat it daily — many times a day to reaffirm your confidence that you have received Jesus as your healer and that your healing is coming to you according to God's Word.

"In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, The Son of God, I decree by the Word of God that I am free, that I am healed and that Satan cannot put sickness and disease on me because Jesus bore my sicknesses in His body. Therefore, 1 do not have to bear them any longer."
"Therefore, I am free because Jesus' proclamation of liberty has set me free." Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17
