Sharon: Hi Joanne.. Closeness to God is wonderful.. but I want to get much closer yet!! It costs a great deal though.. because we must die to self.. Which is humbling.. because we think we know best and we don't.. and to totally look to God for everything just goes against our flesh.. but to know God more is the greater gift and He will help us with all things.. Let us have a Caleb Spirit and Joshua Spirit!!

How many of you pray/speak like this..

Please God help me with this..

Ask God to accept this or that..

How many of us even ask Him to remove problems that seem mighty and difficult.. Or help us to endure them..

But I am learning from reading His Words.. that God can do anything.. but doesn't unless I believe by speaking/praying in a way that says we know different!! We need to see that we don't go through stuff on our own.. we have the Almighty Creator beside us..  Who hears His people when they pray and wants to help them and will if they can see the victory is ahead because He is with them and can do anything and will for those who believe!!

By knowing and  reading what He says.. I can see that He has already said.. when I ask about these things.. whatever they are.. He will do them!! So in a sense.. nothing I ask is too much and above what God will do for me.. I am His child after all!!

I was watching a teaching by Joyce Meyer about killing giants.. LOL. I had a good laugh when I told my hubby.. because compared to me.. He is much taller he is like a giant to me.. LOL..

She spoke on the story of the time Gods people were told to spy out the land God had promised them.. before they were to take possesion of it.. Well he sent.. I think twelve.. might be wrong number.. And 10 came back with good reports of the land which was flowing with milk and honey and all good things.. but they did not speak well of the people who lived there.. They would rather have gone back to slavery then deal with them.. forgetting so soon how God had done amazing miracles to get them free in the first place.. ((God parted sea so they could walk on dry land for goodness sake!!))

All they saw were giants and big fortified cities..

Only two of the people sent.. Joshua and Caleb said they could do it with Gods help!!  They knew how great God was!!

I wrote this below for a Christian forums I visit.. I am really learning that in our situations we have got to start speaking and even praying differently then the majority around us..

Let us not see the giants and the task at hand.. but at how great our God is!! Let us speak with faith and see that we can do it.. and take possesion of all that God has promised us!!

In reply to what God heard these two say.. as opposed to what the majority said.. God said this..

For me... I speak and praise God that my whole family is saved and living in victory!! I have prayed plenty.. God heard me the first time I asked!! Now I see that He is able to do beyond all that I can ask or think!!
 
I pray thanking God that I am healed from hearing loss.. God healed many in the bible.. he says ask and receive and that if I believe anything is possible.. I have asked so I thank God I know I shall receive because He is faithful and gives good gifts!! I look expectantly to what He will do and is doing!!
 
I speak healing/restoration to marriages, salvation for many.. healing for the sick.. Seeing that God heals.. Seeing that God longs that no one perish but have eternal life.. I am seeing that God can do all this and more!! I praise Him before I see with my eyes.. hear with my ears.. That is faith.. and it is God who does it and He is good.. I just see that He can and will if I will only believe that He rewards those who seek Him!!
