Sharon: Hi Joanne.. Closeness to God is wonderful.. but I want to get much closer yet!! It costs a great deal though.. because we must die to self.. Which is humbling.. because we think we know best and we don't.. and to totally look to God for everything just goes against our flesh.. but to know God more is the greater gift and He will help us with all things.. Let us speak victory because it is promised to us!!

  • Scripture of the day : "O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You have healed me." Psalm 30:2

I didn't put this list together.. but they are good.. I did add one of them though..

I am from God and have overcome the enemy in whatever form He comes.. (1 John 4:4)

So many times we quote the second part of this scripture.. Greater is he that is in me.. then he that is in the world.. but we forget the first part.. Wow.. the whole verse says..

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. I John 4:4

As children of God and not just children.. but addressed as dear children.. we who are from God have overcome them... Who is them?? The enemy.. satan.. and his hoardes.. and anything that they do to try to destroy us.. Have overcome them speaks of victory.. past victory actually because it doesn't say will but have.. We have overcome them!! And why.. because Gods Spirit lives in us and He is greater..

Although for many of us.. we feel smack bang in the middle of a great fight against the enemy.. and I dare to say.. we probably feel like he is winning and it may very well appear so.. BUT.. If we can choose to say.. we have already overcome the enemy.. because we are from God.. It does something to us.. it gives us hope.. but also assurance!! To stand strong.. and speak that victory which is ours..

That victory is in any arena we find ourselves fighting in.. for health.. for life.. against death and in anything at all.. We have already overcome the enemy through Jesus who is our Lord and Saviour!!

Basic Confessions

Jesus is my Lord. The devil has no power over me. (Matthew 28:18; Colossians 1:13)


In Jesus' Name I bind you satan and forbid you to bother me in any way. (Mark 16:17; James 4:7)


No weapon formed against me shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)


No evil or accident will happen to me. Neither shall any sickness come near me. God has given His angels charge over me to always keep me safe. (Psalm 91:10-11)

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
I am from God and have overcome the enemy in whatever form He comes.. (1 John 4:4)


Christ has set me free from the curse of sickness. By His wounds, I have been healed. (Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24)


The Lord is my Shepherd. I do not lack. (Psalm 23:1)


My God is supplying all I need. (Philippians 4:19)


I am a child of Almighty God. He loves me and takes good care of me. (Matthew 6:32-33; 7:11)

 
The Lord is my Helper. I will not be afraid. (Hebrews 13:6)


I can do all things through Christ Who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)


All things are possible to me. I have faith so nothing is impossible. (Matthew 17:20; Mark 9:23)


I am a forgiver. I am patient and kind. I walk in love. (1 Corinthians 13, Romans 5:5)


God gives me favor with people. (Acts 2:47)


Jesus has become my wisdom. (1 Corinthians 1:30)


I have the mind of Christ. (Philippians 2:5)


The Spirit of truth lives in me and teaches me all things. He guides me into all truth. (John 14:26; 16:13)


The Lord gives me wisdom and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6) God is for me. (Psalm 56:9)
