Several years ago I received a call from a distraught father.. He was sobbing and could hardly talk.  'My baby is here in hospital,' he said, 'and they have tubes from machines attached all over her body.  The doctors say she will not survive the night.  What can I do?' I told him I would come to the hospital.  After I put down the phone I prayed, 'Lord, is this baby supposed to die?' I sensed the Lord saying 'No!' I walked into the hospital with the knowledge that I was a representative of Christ, a messenger who had a gift for that baby girl.

When I entered the baby's room, I sensed death, so I quietly said, 'Death, get out of here.' It left, and the whole atmosphere in the room changed, as though a weight were lifted. Then I went over and began praying for the girl.  After only a few minutes I knew she was going to be healed, and so did her father.  Hope came into his eyes.  'She is going to be okay,' he said, 'I know it.' Within twenty minutes she improved greatly; several days later she was released, completely healed!

Why do some get healed and some do not? We lost a baby boy in 1997... Some questions we cannot answer.. But we do know this.. that Jesus saves.. and many perish because they do not know this..

When our baby son was sick.. I didn't really know anything about the healing presence of the Lord Jesus.. No one came and prayed for him at his bed side.. though many family and friends and some not known to us.. prayed long distance and we of course prayed for him..

I received great peace from God when our baby was ill and also when he died and after and I still have peace regarding his loss.. But I wonder.. Could a lack of knowledge about healing.. and what Gods word actually says stopped us from seeing a miracle?

We of course cannot know this now.. and I ask that because of many in our world who have not died yet.. and who are in need of a miracle.. You see losing our son has not taken away my hope that Jesus heals.. I see that back then I did not know what I know now and I what I will know in days to come as I press in to the Lord..

This story shows that God still heals today.. God used a man to help bring healing who sought God for His will for the child to live.. He was obviously in tune with the spirit world.. He had discernment that death was there.. and was able to command it to leave!! Jesus gives us that power through our knowledge and faith and in our excersising what He has said!!

But has now been made clear by the revelation of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who put an end to death and made life unending come to light through the good news,

I am so glad Jesus came to abolish death and made life to extend forever!! I want to see stories like that abound all the more.. don't you!! To God be all the glory /

Father God reveal to us Your whole wonderful plan.. Those of us who seek Your will and Your desires for all the people on earth.. We want to see people praise You and know all that You are.. Father open Your Word to us.. and fill us with hope that we can do everything that You said we can do!! Father fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we can discern the ways of the Spirit.. And I ask for many to be healed.. such as this baby girl was.. Father that death is chased away.. and life comes.. Life that only You can give!! Halleujah.. We praise You for this miracle of life.. amen
